Optoisolators, also known as photoelectric couplers or optocouplers, are electronic components that are used to transfer electrical signals from one circuit to another electrically isolated circuit. The TLP2631(F) is a type of optocoupler, specifically classified as a logic output optocoupler.

Optocouplers like the TLP2631(F) provide basic “data in/data out” isolation. This means that the optocoupler allows a signal on the input side of the optocoupler to be transferred to the output side without any electrical connection in between the two circuits.
