The TLV2402CDR is an instrumentation amplifier, constructed on an integrated circuit that combines an operational amplifier with an offset nulling system. The TLV2402CDR is designed to amplify small differential signals with a high common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR). An internal offset voltage nulling circuit keeps the output voltage cycling to the midpoint voltage of the power supply, regardless of changes in the input offset voltage. This is accomplished through a comparison between the inverting and non-inverting inputs, when the offset voltage exceeds a certain threshold, the MOSFETs begin to saturate, reducing the voltage difference between their nodes and keeping the output voltage at the midpoint.
The TLV2402CDR has a number of features that make it popular in instrumentation, process control and consumer electronics. The device is designed for low noise operation, has good common-mode rejection, is slew rate limited to minimize distortion of fast signals, and can operate over a wide power supply voltage range.
The wide power supply voltage range allows the TLV2402CDR to operate from as low as 1.8V to as high as 30V.
