When the voltage reaches its peak, the low-voltage start-up regulator turns off the MOSFET and begins the power conversion process.
The isolated low-side rectifier ensures that the voltage is free from any noise and this ensures the load gets the required power without any noise affecting it. The rectifier also includes a line sense circuit which, in turn, provides the necessary under-voltage lockout and maximum power transfer point for the primary side.
TOP224GN-TL can be used in various applications, such as notebook adapters, LED TV sets, LED lighting, and general purpose AC/DC converters. This PMIC provides features such as high power efficiency, low power consumption, low component count, and high component reliability.
