Application Field
TheTPS3306-18DG4 power management IC is an advanced Power Management IC with a high degree of integration and extremely low power consumption. It is ideal for use in low-power, portable, low-cost microprocessor-based applications, such as cell phone handsets and digital cameras. Due to its low power consumption and high-efficiency regulation, it allows microprocessors to operate longer than traditional linear regulators. It is also widely used in consumer electronics, industrial controls, LCD backlighting, battery charging and other applications.
Working principle
TheTPS3306-18DG4 consists of an Ultra Low Dropout (ULDO) Linear Regulator, two LDOs, two independent ultra low quiescent current buck regulators, an adjustable voltage supervisor (AVS) and an ultra low leakage current comparator. The Ultra Low Dropout Linear Regulator is specifically designed for ultra-low voltages and offers a wide range of output voltage range and ultra-low quiescent current. The two LDOs provide up to 200mA output current and feature output voltage tracking, under-voltage lockout and adjustable output voltage range. The two independent ultra low quiescent current buck regulators operate with a wide input voltage range and have independent regulation and sequencing, allowing them to be used in multiple applications. The adjustable voltage supervisor (AVS) monitors the system power supply and enables the system to safely and effectively shut down in the event of brown out or overvoltage conditions. The ultra low leakage current comparator monitors the system and provides status warnings when conditions become critical. The TPS3306-18DG4 is designed to integrate in a single device all the functions for an advanced power management of a wide range of electronics being used in mobile, automotive and industrial applications.
The TPS3306-18DG4 is a PMIC that offers excellent performance, ultra-low power and high integration in order to meet the demanding needs of various applications.
