The second step of operation is thewr, mr, or dmi and dml outputs. If configured for watchdog operation, the WR output will be asserted at regular intervals to monitor the system’s performance. When configured as MR, the supervisor will continuously monitor the DBV pin, and will assert the MR output if the voltage falls outside the programmed range. When configured as DMI, the supervisor will monitor the provided voltage levels and assert the WR output if the voltage ranges between the programmed DMI and DML trip points.

The third and final step of operation is triggered by the POR output when the WDF, MXWDF,MNWDF, or HSWDF output is asserted. These outputs switch to their active state, indicating that the voltage detected by the supervisor requires reset. While the POR output is asserted, reset cannot be released until the voltage is above the programmed level.
