The TPS3896ADRYT is an ultra-low-voltage reset supervisor circuit with independent active-high and active-low reset output pins. It is designed to monitor 1.9V to 3.6V supply voltage. The device will reset when the supply voltage drops below the preset threshold. The reset thresholds are factory-set, usually at 2.5V or 2.6V and are offered in ±1% and ±2% initial accuracy.

The device features voltage, temperature and active-high reset status monitoring, making it excellent for use in battery-powered, automotive and portable device applications. The device also provides a capture circuit that stores the INFORMATION read, making it suitable for factory-programed service routing.

The TPS3896ADRYT offers two independent reset outputs—active-high push-pull and active-low open-drain—to guarantee an orderly system reset when the distinct reset threshold is exceeded. The active-high reset output feature is supported by push-pull transistors that can drive up to 10mA of current while the active-low output is supported by open-drain Schottky transistors.

The device also provides a push-pull signal to indicate when the supply voltage is below the reset pin threshold. The active-low output can drive the microcontroller\'s reset pin while the active-high output can drive an LED or N-channel open-drain device.

The TPS3896ADRYT has factory-set reset thresholds of 2.5V or 2.6V with ±1% and ±2% accuracy, and a reset timeout of 25ms. It also provides a thermal shutdown feature that disables both reset outputs and the power-down signal in response to a thermal overload or system fault. Protection features include a reverse-battery protection of up to 8V and an over-voltage protection of up to 4.6V.
