Working Principle:
The TPS40009EVM-001 board consists of an adjustable, synchronous buck regulator powered by the TPS300009 IC. It is designed to enable fast prototyping of high-efficiency offline adaptor/charger and adapter applications. The IC is a synchronous buck converter that uses the latest Active-Current-Positioning (AC-P) technology to reduce both energy loss and ripple current. The board supports a wide range of input voltages, from 15 V down to 0.7 V, and output voltages, from 19 V down to 0.7 V, as well as adjustable switching frequencies from 500 kHz up to 4 MHz. In addition, the IC provides comprehensive system protection features, prevents ripple current, and allows for low standby current.
