Working Principle
The TPS53624RHAT implements a high frequency PWM control scheme and is driven by a fixed frequency oscillator with a minimum on-time of 30ns. During the ON-time, the pulses switch the MOSFETs and the inductor self-generates current. Current measured across the inductor together with a control loop, enable the TPS53624RHAT to provide regulation between input and output voltage. The device will not be able to respond to fast changing loads, which requires external compensation.
The device senses the signal from the power MOSFET output current to switch from low current to high current operating modes.
