TPS53632RSMT is designed to deliver high efficiency and low standby current in critical applications, such as automotive and other space-constrained applications.TPS53632RSMT converts input voltages from 3V to 24VDC into regulated output voltages from 0.6V to 5.5V. It includes a high efficiency power switcher capable of delivering 6A minimum output current. Additionally, the device features a programmable, input voltage under-voltage lockout (UVLO) and a programmable soft start. The TPS53632RSMT is designed to operate at up to a 95% duty cycle, allowing it to provide an accurate output voltage, even when the input voltage is close to the regulated output voltage.The TPS53632RSMT features an internal switch capable of achieving high efficiency in a wide range of applications, & incorporates a cycle-by-cycle current limit and thermal shutdown protection. The output voltage and switching frequency of the TPS53632RSMT can easily be programmed with external resistors, enabling the user to customize the performance of the device to their specific application. The TPS53632RSMT also includes a power good (PG) logic output, which indicates when the output voltage is within a specified window, and when the device is in overtemperature shut down.The working principle of the TPS53632RSMT is based on the synchronous buck topology. A series of switches control the flow of power from the input voltage to the output, ensuring the desired output voltage is maintained. The input voltage is connected to an inductor, which stores energy as it is charged up. When the switch turns off, the inductor releases this stored energy to the output capacitors, which provide a stable output voltage.
