The TPS59124RGER is a synchronous rectified step-down DC-DC controller that operates from 4.5 V to 5.5 V and regulates an adjustable output voltage down to a minimum of 0.6 V. It has a fast output transient response, low quiescent current, and high efficiency. The device is designed to drive an internal P-Channel MOSFET as the main switch and an internal N-Channel MOSFET as the synchronous rectifier switch. Current mode control with pulse width modulation ensures good line and load regulation. An internal loop compensation provides excellent transient response.
The device includes efficient programmable constant current limit and short circuit protection. Cycle-by-Cycle current limit prevents damage to the external MOSFET by limiting the peak current. An adjustable fault response time allows the user to set the soft-start duration and the over-temperature protection threshold of the device.

Working Principle
The TPS59124RGER works by regulating the output voltage by varying the duty cycle of the switch at a fixed frequency.
