The TRF3761-CIRHAR from Texas Instruments is a wideband clock and frequency synthesizer that is ideal for high frequency communications protocols such as 802.11ac and 5G.

The TRF3761-CIRHAR is a fully integrated high performance, wideband, reconfigurable clock and frequency synthesizer that covers the range of 350MHz to 6GHz and also includes an optional reference input and an adjustable output. It has an integrated programmable PLL and integrated loop filtering, output amplifiers, and reference buffer. With its wide range and high frequency capabilities, the TRF3761-CIRHAR is suitable for use in a wide range of applications such as wireless point-to-point communication.

The programmable PLL consists of two main components: the voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) and the loop filter. The VCO is a device whose output frequency is determined by the control voltage that is applied to it. The loop filter is an active or passive frequency control device whose output is combined with the VCO output to obtain the frequency synthesizer output. This output is adjusted to obtain the desired frequency.

The TRF3761-CIRHAR includes a clock generator and an output amplifier.
