The NMOS driver sinks current from the gate for the high-side gate, while the PMOS driver sources current for the low-side gate. The Gate Reverse Voltage Protection ensures that the gate potential of the high-side Mosfet does not exceed the supply voltage of the logic gate, therefore preventing back-biasing of the Power MOSFET.
