The UC2637DWG4 is an integrated motor controller and driver for advanced motor control applications. It is a dual-channel, Dual-Bridge motor driver that can provide up to 2W of power. It is capable of supplying up to 18V of peak current to each of two independent two-bridge motor channels, allowing the user to control two separate motors or one two-phase motor. It is designed to provide maximum efficiency and performance while minimizing power losses and heat dissipation.
The UC2637DWG4 is designed to provide superior performance and extensive features for applications requiring operation with higher voltages, frequencies and currents. Including adjustable current limit, PWM or analog speed control inputs, fault reporting outputs for microcontrollers, and an adjustable time-out feature for current limitations.
The UC2637DWG4 is an ideal solution for applications that require constant current while providing high performance and low noise operation of two corresponding motors. It is designed to consistently deliver current to independently adjustable two-bridge motor channels. The UC2637DWG4 is optimized to deliver up to 18V of peak current to each of two bridge motor channels with a maximum output current of 8A.
The UC2637DWG4 utilizes a robust full bridge driver to process the input signals and deliver power to the corresponding two-bridge motor channels. The onboard pre-drivers provide a low feed-forward switchable current limit, allowing the user to safely limit the motor current in order to protect the motor from transient over- currents. The non-inverting input latency feature provides a speed/torque/acceleration characteristics for each channel.
The onboard PWM control inputs are used to control the frequency and duration of the motor\'s control cycle. The PWM signals are processed by the onboard logic, which generates the corresponding on-off drive signals for the two motor channels. The user can adjust the operating frequency, duty cycle and the current limit via the onboard DIP switches. The onboard analog-to-PWM Linear multiplier and the adjustable current limit are further embedded in the UC2637DWG4.
The UC2637DWG4 additionally contains a fault-logic that can be utilized to identify faults, if any, during run time. This logic generates a fault output signal and a set reset signal, each of which can be sent to an external device, like a microcontroller, allowing the user to identify the faulty motor and take corrective measures. The UC2637DWG4 is designed to operate with a supply voltage range of 6-44V, and the switching frequency range of the output PWM signal is adjustable between 62KHz-1.2MHz.
The UC2637DWG4 utilizes advanced power processing techniques and efficient motor control architecture for optimal performance of corresponding motor channels. It provides an optimal solution for applications requiring advanced, dependable and efficient operation of two motors in a single package.
