Working Principle

UC2842D8 achieves high-frequency DC/DC switching operation mainly by adjusting the tracking ratio between the desired output voltage and feedback voltage in response to the external control input. To realize this, it employs a high-speed clock oscillator, comparator and a voltage amplifier. Using the current sense input, it can also periodically tune the power switch for current-mode dynamic tracking control, meaning that control is fast and reliable. The tracking ratio can reach up to 1000:1, and the output voltage is adjustable from 0 to 5V. The UC2842D8 incorporates the latest technologies to reduce dynamic response time, enhance the operating efficiency and reduce power dissipation. With excellent protection features, it is very robust in operation, resistance to noise and interference.
