In a prime example of this, the use of Power Factor Correction (PFC) has become a necessary requirement in the world of power converters and switching designs.One of the most.popular power management integrated circuits that is used in PFC applications is the UCC3818AD. This device is a high-performance, high-efficiency, pulse-width modulated (PWM) controller with an integrated gate driver for synchronous rectifiers. It is an advanced low-voltage PFC controller that supports a wide range of configurations, allowing designers to maximize their design performance.The UCC3818AD can be used in a wide variety of power systems, from AC-to-DC and DC-to-DC converters, to LED backlighting, LED drivers, remote sensing applications, and more.
