It provides ideal conditions for integrated circuit designers, who are in need of efficient solutions for controlling power and voltage with their designs. Specifically, the UCC3919PW is designed to maximise system up-time by assuring source supplies are securely and safely disconnected in the event of an overload or short circuit.

This device provides designers with a complete Hot Swap circuit and features a wide variety of input, output and protection capabilities. The UCC3919PW utilises a P channel and an N channel MOSFET combined with an integrated voltage and current detection circuit. This combination allows for a wide range of voltage range and regulation solutions.

In addition to providing overload and short circuit protection, the UCC3919PW also provides thermal protection. Temperature-limiting shutoff maintains a safe operating environment for your design. The UCC3919PW also includes fault detection and status indicator outputs.

At the heart of the UCC3919PW is a low on-resistance dual p-MOSFET control circuit that, when enabled, supplies an enabled output voltage. A power up delay features, designed to prevent runaway temperatures at startup, is also included. And the UCC3919PW provides a fault flag output that is asserted in the presence of an overload condition.

The UCC3919PW device utilizes two current sources that establish an operational current limit. When an overload occurs, the current sources rapidly reduce the output current thereby achieving a quick and safe shutdown.

The UCC3919PW features an adaptive threshold voltage regulator, programmable non-overlap inputs, and wide input and output voltage range. The device also provides a wide voltage and current calibration range, and is configurable for both VI and VO sensing.
