Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors are a form of capacitor that utilizes an electrolytic material as the dielectric medium combined with a direct current (DC) electric field created by the applied voltage to initiate the process of polarization. The polarization process produces a charge storage element with two plates separated by an insulating material.
