Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are widely used in UKL1E100KDCANA application fields due to their relatively large capacitance, high insulation, low dissipation, small size, lighter weight, and adequate working voltage. They are widely used in industries such as aviation, military, aerospace, IT, communications, automotive electronics, electric tools, and metering.

The working principle of aluminum electrolytic capacitors is relatively simple. It consists of two metal foils with supporting paper separator between the two foils and the whole is wound and inserted in an aluminum shell filled with electrolyte. It is called electrolytic capacitor because the aluminum layer and one electrode are formed through the electrolysis process. The metal foil on one side is the anode and the other metal foil is the cathode. The anode is generally made of aluminum with a oxide layer formed as a dielectric. The cathode is connected to the aluminum shell with an electrolyte liquid.

When a voltage is applied to the two electrodes of the aluminum electrolytic capacitor, an electric field is formed between the two foils, the insulating layer of aluminum oxide on the anode acts as a dielectric and an electrical charge is stored in the capacitance formed by the anode and cathode.

The performance of aluminum electrolytic capacitors is closely related to the degree of oxidation of the anode aluminum foil surface. The oxide layer on the anode has a dielectric breakdown point under high voltage or temperature, so the working voltage of the electrolytic capacitor depends on the oxide layer thickness. The oxide layer on the anode can be thickened by forming a potential. Thus, the working voltage of the capacitor is effectively increased. In addition, the operating temperature also affects the performance of aluminum electrolytic capacitors. Generally, the higher the operating temperature, the higher the leakage current, and the shorter the life.

Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are widely used due to their high capacity, good insulation performance, low impedance, small size, light weight, and low price. They are mainly used in aviation, military, aerospace, IT, communications, automotive electronics, electric tools, and metering. However, aluminum electrolytic capacitors have a shorter life than other capacitors and their performance is affected by various factors.
