Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

  An aluminum electrolytic capacitor, also known as an Alcap, is an electronic component used to store energy in circuits. It generally consists of two metal plates (aluminum foil or any other electrical conducting material) separated by an electrolyte. The aluminum foil or other conducting material acts as the anode and the electrolyte acts as the cathode. The voltage and current across the capacitor is determined by the electrolyte and the capacitance of the aluminum electrolyte.

  The UPW0J222MHD is an aluminum electrolytic capacitor and is primarily used in voice and data communications applications. It is a polarized capacitor with a working voltage of 16.5V. Working Principle
