Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors
An aluminum electrolytic capacitor, also known as an Alcap, is an electronic component used to store energy in circuits. It generally consists of two metal plates (aluminum foil or any other electrical conducting material) separated by an electrolyte. The aluminum foil or other conducting material acts as the anode and the electrolyte acts as the cathode.
