USV1H100MFD is a 100µF capacitor used in various sections of the electronic industry. Working Principle of USV1H100MFD

USV1H100MFD has an aluminum-foil anode element, cathode element, separator and non-aqueous electrolyte. When the capacitor is put in a circuit, current will flow between the capacitor’s plates. The internal oxidation film will form on the anode and insulate the anode from the electrolyte. As a result, a potential is built up across the the dielectric oxide layer and a capacitance is created.The capacitance of USV1H100MFD can be increased by increasing the thickness of the oxide layer. This is done by increasing the amount of oxidation current and by using bigger capacitance elements with greater anode foil area. The anode sheet is connected to the positive terminal of the capacitor while the cathode sheet is connected to the negative terminal of the capacitor. USV1H100MFD is also characterized by low-equivalent series resistance (ESR). This is because the oxide dielectric material offers essentially no resistance. As a result, less voltage drop occurs in the capacitor, and a very stable and predictable supply of current is available. USV1H100MFD also has a low temperature coefficient, allowing the capacitor to operate efficiently under high frequency and high current applications. The ESR of USV1H100MFD can further be improved by utilizing the X-cap design which further reduces the ESR.
