Depending on the direction of the applied voltage, charges are stored on either of the two conductors, and the electric charge is held in equilibrium. When the applied voltage changes, a flow of current is created which helps to quickly restore the charge on the two conductors and maintain the electrical balance. Using an ideal capacitor, the potential difference between the two conductors is proportional to the amount of charge stored. In a practical application, the major influencing factors are the leakage current, the fact that the dielectric medium is not ideal, and the voltage distribution along the plates’ length. These, in turn, affect the amount of charge stored in the capacitor and its ability to store and release energy quickly.To increase the capacitance of a device, there are some other components as well which are used along with the UVR1C223MRA, such as an aluminum oxide insulation material.
