Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are widely used as key components in modern power electronic applications.UVZ1E220MDH capacitors are types of high voltage aluminum electrolytic capacitors and are designed to meet the most demanding needs for designers who require low power loss. These capacitors are applicable for dc/ac line-filtering, energy storage, class A filter, ac motor and inverter drive, etc.

A UVZ1E220MDH capacitor consists of an anode aluminium foil and electrolyte as the positive electrode, and a distinct cathode foil as the negative electrode. The electrolyte is characterized by its high specific conductivity, supplying high dielectric strength and low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) values, essential components to achieve low power losses.

The main component of aluminum electrolytic capacitors are the polarizable anode, the separator and the dielectric. The separator is designed to protect the anode and dielectric from direct electrical contact. The anode is a thin sheet of aluminum foil, which provides the surface for the formation of a thin layer of oxide film, known as the dielectric film . In the absence of an external electric field, the formation of dielectric film can only be maintained by ions diffusing from the electrolyte. When an external electric field is applied, the ions move towards the anode, resulting in the formation of a high dielectric constant, low-loss dielectric film.
