The V175LA10C Varistor is a surge protection device designed to protect circuits and equipment from overvoltage caused by lightning, power cross, capacitor switching, or electrostatic discharge (ESD). A surge protection device is a key component in any circuit in order to protect integrated circuits and other circuit components from destructive voltage fluctuations. The V175LA10C is a metal oxide varistor (MOV), designed for use in AC/DC line-to-line voltage suppression circuits, as well as one of the most common type of overvoltage protection device.
