Its very low capacitance of 0.01pF (typ) allows it to suppress transient voltage in a wide range of frequencies (to 100MHz). The V68ZS20 is relatively easy to use, as it requires no additional components, and can be soldered into the existing circuit.

This feature works by allowing a fraction of the excess current to pass through the V68ZS20 while the rest of the current is closed-circuit to the ground. This helps to spread the energy out, reducing the risk of catastrophic damage.
