It also offers a low clamping voltage, so system components can be readily protected against fast transients occurring on the connected power-rail.
VDRS05C460TSE varistors are designed to protect against transients up to 1500W peak power and 30V DC breakdown voltage with an operating temperature range between -55°C and +125°C. It has a maximum peak current rating of 18A in a broad temperature range of -55°C to +125°C, allowing it to operate reliably and efficiently in a wide range of high-temperature applications.
The flame retardant version of the VDRS05C460TSE is available for applications that require a high level of fire protection. This varistor has a self-extinguishing rating of UL94V-O, making it perfect for sensitive applications such as medical devices, motor controllers, and other applications that require high levels of fire protection.
