VDRS10P510TLE Application Field and Working Principle

VDRS10P510TLE is a varistor with a breakdown voltage of 10V, a capacitance of 5100pF, and a leakage current of 145nA. It is a primary component of a TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression). Varistors (also known as voltage-dependent resistors) provide surge current protection and help reduce overvoltage damage. They are widely used in electronic devices for overvoltage protection.

TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressors) are designed to protect circuit elements from high-intensity electrical transients caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD) or electrical fast transient (EFT), such as lightning.
