VNS14NV04-E Application Field and Working Principle

VNS14NV04-E offers protection from In-rush current, overvoltage and overheating and is also known for its fast operating time and accuracy in current limiting. It is equipped with a single low-on resistance power MOSFET load driver which enables to drive a single line, offering a high-speed time of 16nanoseconds, making it perfect for fast applications such as XDSL and long line transmission modems. This product also offers a high current capacity of 5A and is supplied in a QFN 24 lead package.

Working Principle

The working principle of VNS14NV04-E is relatively simple. It uses a single low-on resistance power MOSFET load driver to transfer current when the bottom line of the device detects the incoming voltage and current. The driver is then turned on to transfer the current to the top line. If the incoming current gets too high or the voltage is too low, the driver will turn off to protect the integrated circuit from damage and also ensure voltage stability. The driver is also capable of controlling and limiting the in-rush current and is equipped with a highly accurate current limit level.
