The VO4157M-X017T is a optoisolator – triac, SCR output which is used for photocoupler and pulse transformer applications. This device is used to efficiently transfer a control signal across an isolation barrier and provides protection against electrical surges and transient voltages. The device is designed to provide electrical isolation, high common mode rejection ratio and low electromagnetic interference between input and output.

The VO4157M-X017T has a wide range of applications such as industrial lighting, microportable computer peripherals, power management, LED lighting control and so on. It is suitable for use in a variety of industrial and consumer applications where an isolation barrier is required.

The VO4157M-X017T features an integrated 6-pin dual MOSFET power package, allowing it to operate from both AC and DC supply voltage. It has a maximum continuous operating voltage of 250VAC and a maximum output voltage of 18VAC/DC or higher. The device is capable of providing a very low on-state resistance, allowing it to be used in low power applications, such as LED lighting control. The device has a maximum rated output current of 1A or higher and a maximum output on-state resistance of 3 ohms or lower.

The working principle of the VO4157M-X017T optoisolatot – triac, SCR output is that the device has two sections, the input and the output, as well as an optocoupler. The input is a phototransistor, which receives a control signal from a voltage source, such as a microcontroller. The output is an insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) which provides an isolated output signal.
