The VO4158D-X007T optoisolator is a triac and SCR output optoisolator which provides fast switching speeds, long life, and excellent on-state voltage characteristics. It is ideal for commercial and automotive applications. This optoisolator has a wide range of applications such as: AC switching, motor speed control, power supply regulation, home appliances and many other consumer applications.

The VO4158D-X007T optoisolator is typically used in AC circuits and its working principle is based on the LED-phototriac structure. It consists of a gallium arsenide infrared LED which is optically coupled to the integrated triac and SCR switch. When the LED is activated, it emits an infrared light beam which is then detected by the phototriac, causing the triac and the SCR to switch on. The triac acts as a latching circuit, meaning it will remain on or off until the LED is deactivated. This ensures that the signal remains intact even in the event of a power failure.

The triac in the VO4158D-X007T optoisolator has a maximum blocking voltage of 600 Volts and a maximum holding current of 1.5 Amps.
