VP01E Application Field and Working Principle
The VP01E float and level sensor is mainly used to sense the existence of liquid, object, and material. It is widely applied in marine, chemical, petroleum industries and sewage treatment. It is also used for liquid level measurement in factory baths, cooling towers, mud tanks, hydraulic tanks, streamline full tank indicating devices, water-supply equipments, and etc.
The working principle of the VP01E float and level sensor is based on buoyancy force. Float sensor is basically a hollow chamber that is filled with gas or liquid that exerts a buoyancy force on the float when the float is submerged in the purchased liquid. This buoyancy force acts to push the float up or down in response to liquid level. As the float rises and falls with changes in liquid level, an internal mechanism is used to varying resistance to indicate liquid level change.
Float sensors use two types of sensing elements, namely, mechanical float sensing elements and electrical float sensing elements. Mechanical float sensing elements are activated when the float approaches the sensing chamber chamber wall, while electrical float sensing elements rely on the voltage generated by the float-mounted magnet. When the float reaches a certain height, the magnetic field in the liquid actuates a switch which indicates the rise or fall of the liquid level.
The output of the VP01E float and level sensor is generally signal-valued (4 to 20 ma). The output can also be divided into two-wired switching signal output, floating signal switching output and even multiple output for further processing, and with analog output voltage points.
Overall, VP01E float and level sensor is a reliable, cost-efficient way of measuring liquid levels in a wide range of applications. The sensor is highly accurate in detecting changes in liquid level and is capable of providing signal output suitable for various applications.
