VT2060CHM3/4W is a fully electronic, integrated, silicon controlled rectifier array designed for use as a half-bridge rectifier (HBR) in switching power supplies. An HBR is used in conjunction with a buck or boost converter, in order to regulate the input power. VT2060CHM3/4W’s micropower bi-directional integration allows it to rapidly switch between a completely disconnected open-circuit state or a voltage limiting or current limiting state. The device can also be used to regulate the voltage on the input power source by providing an active buck-regulating function.VT2060CHM3/4W is suitable for a wide range of applications, including high-frequency, high-power systems such as telecom systems and computer power supplies, as well as battery charger systems, LED lighting, and active power filters. The array is ideal for replacing conventional transformer or diode-bridge rectifier systems.The VT2060CHM3/4W is composed of two separate monolithically integrated SCRs with common gate, each with different breakover characteristics. The two SCRs are connected to form a half-bridge rectifier array. The package integrates two power MOSFETs, with common gate and gate resistors, and a Schottky diode. The Schottky diode reduces voltage loss when diode-clamp mode is enabled.
