The VTVS47GSMF-M3-08 is capable of providing Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) for both differential and single line applications. It features an anode-cathode construction with low capacitance and very fast response times to transient voltage events. It has a high peak power of 8kW, a breakdown voltage of 47V, a leakage current of 1.5mA and a package size of 2.5mm². It has a Response Times (TTR) of 5ns, a Leakage Current (Iz) of 21±5µA, a Boomerang™ Technology (TDR) of 2ns, and a built-in patented Node Guard™ (PG) Protection.Working Principle of the VTVS47GSMF-M3-08
The working principle of the VTVS47GSMF-M3-08 is based on the fact that it is an electrostatic device. When a transient voltage event occurs, it stores the excess charge in its capacitor and redirects it in a safe manner. The stored charge is then released through its anode. This process happens in a very short amount of time. The VTVS47GSMF-M3-08 also features a patented Node Guard™ Protection to further protect the circuit board from damages caused by a transient voltage event. The Node Guard™ Protection is a Dynamic Voltage Pyrotechnic Circulator that is activated to protect sensitive electronic components from any ESD events.Conclusion
