The W7100A is a 32-bit embedded microcontroller with a low power and high performance ARM7 core that is capable of operating at frequencies up to 100MHz. This device is one of the few embedded microcontrollers currently available that is suitable for use in industrial, automotive and consumer applications.The W7100A is part of the STMicroelectronics family of ARM7 processor-based microcontrollers. This device is based on the ARM7TDMI processor core and features a 32-bit, 16-bit and 8-bit architecture, up to 800KB of internal Flash memory and support for up to 165 peripheral functions. It also has on-chip debug circuitry, an integrated DMA controller, a 10/100 EthernetMAC, three timer/counters, seven 32-bit timers, a Viterbi co-processor, an ATA controller, and an I2C master. The W7100A is designed to meet the requirements of low power and high performance applications. Its low power consumption makes it ideal for applications where power consumption must be kept to a minimum, while its high performance makes it suitable for applications requiring high clock speeds or a large number of processing operations.
