The W79E822ADG is a CMOS 8-bit microcontroller for embedded applications. It is an 8-bit microcontroller based on way of RMOS RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computer) architecture and has a 16-bit address bus and 8-bit data bus. The W79E822ADG is integrated with an on-chip program memory (SRAM), a data and control memory (SRAM) and a large set of features such as timers, events and interrupts to provide meaningful and quick operational performance. The W79E822ADG microcontroller is designed to be used as an embedded system controller embedded in industrial, automotive, medical, and consumer applications.

As an embedded microcontroller, W79E822ADG is used to control the whole system, while the specific functions are implemented by the available peripherals.
