The WLNJ-G-N series snap action switches are contactless and operate on the principle of accelerating actuator arms through a set of cooperating springs. Within the working mechanism, two arms, located 180 degrees from each other, have a contact point on their inner extremities. When a voltage or specific physical action is applied, the arms rapidly spin and cause the contact point to move, releasing or engaging the switch. When the action or voltage is released, the arms return to their original position, re-engaging the contact point.

This long operational life is acheived through an innovative design including long-life actuator arms, self-cleaning and abrasion-resistant contacts and long-term fatigue resistance in contact materials.
