The Σ-Δ modulator can provide up to 24 bits of resolution and the output rate can be delivered from 32 Hz to 0.5 MHz.

The circuit architecture of WM8224CSEFL is organized as follows: the 4-channel input multiplexer, low-pass filter, Σ-Δ modulator and decimator. The input multiplexer selects the signal from differential or single-ended input according to configuration.
