The XC7A50T-3CSG324E is an embedded field programmable gate array (FPGA) technology device belonging to the Zynq-7000 family of devices. It is the first device in the family to feature the 28nm process technology, and is capable of scaling up to 550K system gates. The device offers the highest performance, best I/O features, and most embedded features of any FPGA technology on the market.

The device can be used to create highly efficient digital solutions with greatly improved processing power, while reducing design complexities and increasing system performance. XC7A50T-3CSG324E utilizes a combination of programmable logic blocks with dedicated embedded processor cores, which allow it to operate at speeds of up to 500 MHz. Its 9-track memory interface can operate up to 1GHz, and its dedicated external memory interface can operate up to 3GHz. Additionally, the device features programmable interconnects and dedicated communication interface blocks, which enable its users to create complex solutions that are easily upgradable and configurable.

The design principles of the XC7A50T-3CSG324E are based on a “Universal Programmable Logic Yield” (UPLY) philosophy.
