To meet these challenging needs, Xilinx has introduced the XC7S50-L1CSGA324I Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), an optimized and cost-effective FPGA solution that can accelerate embedded designs. The XC7S50-L1CSGA324I is optimized to deliver high performance and low power for a variety of embedded applications such as industrial automation, medical monitoring, automotive, and consumer electronics.
The XC7S50-L1CSGA324I is a low power, highly reliable FPGA solution that utilizes advanced 16-nm Planar Cell Library (PCL) technology. The PCl technology enables a wide range of features and high integration such as two- and four-input look-up tables (LUT), high speed routing, embedded RAM and distributed RAM, static safety monitor (SSM), and high speed serial connections. The XC7S50-L1CSGA324I also features a low power and ultra-low leakage Cortex-A15 processor that is optimized for embedded and real-time applications. The processor offers up to five times the performance of a conventional Cortex-A9 processor and is capable of executing a broad range of applications, from encryption to digital signal processing, in real-time.
Xilinx’s XC7S50-L1CSGA324I features an industry-leading low-power architecture, allowing users to reduce system power without sacrificing performance. This architecture ensures that the XC7S50-L1CSGA324I consumes less than 20 mW/MHz while offering performance up to 375 MHz. In addition, the XC7S50-L1CSGA324I includes advanced power management and a power-efficient selection of RAMs, logic blocks and I/O formats, ensuring that the device outperforms competing solutions while consuming less power.
The XC7S50-L1CSGA324I can also handle performance-intensive tasks such as graphic processing, motion control, and video processing. It includes an array of dedicated-function hardware blocks, including 512 kbit of embedded SRAM, 24 DSP blocks, 66 Kbit of distributed RAM, and 128 DSP48E slices for digital signal processing operations. Moreover, the XC7S50-L1CSGA324I also features a high-speed transceiver technology that supports transfer rates of up to 12 Gbps.
The XC7S50-L1CSGA324I is also well integrated with Xilinx’s Vivado Design Suite and the SDK (Software Development Kit) software, providing users with a powerful toolset for designing and debugging embedded systems with improved efficiency. Vivado Design Suite features an intuitive graphical user interface, extensive logic and on-chip resources, and powerful debugging capabilities, allowing users to quickly and efficiently create complex and reliable embedded designs. The SDK software provides a comprehensive and easy-to-use development environment which supports various programming languages, including C, C++, and HDL so that users can rapidly develop and deploy embedded designs.
