The XR33155HD-F is an FPGA interface transceiver chip based on the 3.5 Gbps Multi-Protocol SERDES plus a 1.25 Gbps SGMII interface. It offers flexible configuration options including dual independent transceiver, dual redundant transceiver, emergency-down transceiver and commercial data center applications. It is suitable for applications such as video and audio encoding/decoding, clock recovery, high speed serial communication, antenna switching and wide area network communication.

The XR33155HD-F is built upon modified 65nm CMOS process technology and employs advanced asynchronous clock multiplexer and receiver architectures to achieve high-performance transceivers over high-speed and wide-distance links. It features an innovative Multi-Protocol-SERDES (MPS) with advanced receiver equalization and dynamic equalization and calibration technology that supports up to 3.5 Gbps data rates. The chip also includes a SGMII-compliant 1.25 Gbps interface for fast and efficient data transmission over a wide variety of protocols such as Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel and InfiniBand.

The XR33155HD-F also provides both Ethernet- and PCI Express-compatible serial interface blocks that allow flexible configuration options. The chip supports programmable signaling and data rates which include CML, NRZ-L, and PAM4-L signaling interleaved with the SGMII interface. The flexible programmability makes the XR33155HD-F ideal for applications requiring multiple lanes of traffic or inter-lane data transfer.

The chip implements an advanced adaptive equalization (EQ) and dynamic equalization and calibration algorithm to achieve high-speed and low-crosstalk performance across long, high-data rate links. The adaptive equalizer is capable of automatically adjusting parameters to ensure optimum performance of signals in the presence of various impairments. The dynamic equalization and calibration technology adjusts pre-cursor and post-cursor taps in order to compensate for the time varying impairments of signals in high-speed and wide-distance links.
