The XW2Z-500F is a single-axis two-phase DC motor Speed Controller that is integrated into a complete cable assembly. Consisting of two drives, the controller works to accurately control the speed and position of a motor in applications such as medical robotics, lab automation, industrial automation, and walking and sorting machines.

Using advanced technology, the controller consists of two motor-control boards, with each board having two sets of DC bus voltage, speed control, forward/reverse control, and adjustable current limit. The motor-control boards can be connected to up to 12 motors, providing a maximum output rating of 50 A. The controller also has an adjustable current limit, with settings from 0 – 15 A that can be adjusted easily using a potentiometer. Additionally, the controller is designed with programmable current sensors, which detects the current and can disconnect the controller in case of hardware failure.

The encoder has a resolution of 16 bits, and a maximum sampling frequency of up to 1 kHz.

The controller also has a temperature sensor, allowing it to monitor the system temperature and prevent overheating. The controller has an adjustable current limit that can be used to limit the current when the motor is in motion. To protect the motor, the controller features a low-voltage reset circuit, which works to reset the motor in case of power failure. Similarly, the controller has a high-voltage reset circuit, which is designed to reset the motor in case of an overload.
