The electrolyte resists the passage of direct current while allowing for an alternating current (*2) to flow.The voltage applied to the capacitor is called an applied charging voltage and the current needed to maintain the charge is known as a bojection current. A bojection current can be observed at any given moment, even when the capacitor is not connected to a power source.In the B43851K2107M000 aluminum electrolytic capacitor, electrons are forced through the oxide layers due to the applied charging voltage. Specific chemical reactions occur within the electrolyte and electricity is conducted through the plates of the capacitor.This produces an efficient transfer of electrical energy between the plates while generating minimal heat dissipation.
