Working Principle of B43890A9226M000

A B43890A9226M000 aluminum electrolytic capacitor consists of a metal oxide-sealed (MOX) semi-conductive electrolyte and an anode foil, deposited on a thin layer of an aluminum cathode foil. In operation, the capacitor stores an electric charge, which is created by the buildup of positive ions in the electrolyte. This charge is maintained until the voltage across the capacitor is lowered to below the cathode voltage. At this point, the electric charge is dissipated and the capacitor loses its charge.

When the capacitor is in its restful state, the electrolyte forms a barrier between the anode and the cathode foils, preventing current from flowing through them. When the supply voltage is applied to the anode foil, positive ions flow through the electrolyte and are attracted to the negatively charged cathode foil. This creates an electric field between the anode and cathode foils, which results in an electric charge being stored within the capacitor. This electric charge is stored until the supply voltage is reduced to below the cathode voltage, at which point the capacitor releases its charge.
