    ISL6334 chips are mostly used in gigabyte H55, H61 chipset motherboard to manage CPU power supply, mainly with the following characteristics.

Supports a 4-phase PWM controller.

Supports dynamic VIDTM technology VR11.1, requires 8-bit VID, compatible VR1I microprocessor voltage identification input.

Integrated precision over-current protection.

Integrates temperature monitoring and overvoltage protection.

Integrates programmable temperature compensation.

The ISL6334 pin name is shown in figure 1.

A typical application circuit for 1SL6334 is shown in figure 2. # main chip power supply, enable input, power supply signal, PVID combination, enable input.

The workflow of the ISL6334 power management chip is as follows.

The VCC pin voltage is higher than the internal power-on reset threshold voltage, typically 5V power.

The chip power supply timing control EN_PWR pin, get more than 0.875V voltage.

The external circuit sends an enabling signal higher than 0.875V to the EN_VTT pin of the chip.

The above conditions satisfy the chip start-up work, output PWM signal to the later driver chip ISL6612. After the voltage of VCC and BOOT pin is normal, the driver chip ISL6612 receives the output PWM signal from ISL6334, then starts to work to control the step-down voltage of MOS tube and output 1.1V voltage.

After a period of time, the ISL6334 chip reads the VID code in the VID input pin and adjusts the output VID to set the voltage value.
