The management and support functions of the AMD RS880 chip motherboard are as follows. Overall, the RS880 and RS780 chipsets have not changed much.
①The AMDRS880 chip uses AM2's CPU, to manage 4 DDR2 memory by CPU and supports dual channels.
②The CPU and the RS880 North Bridge chip are connected by the HT bus, and HT uses a point-to-point transport protocol to increase the transmission rate.
③The RS880 comes with an integrated video card that supports the VGA analog and DVI digital signal video output interfaces.
④RS880 manages PCILEX16 card plugs, PCI-EX1 slots, Nic chips through the PCI-E bus.
⑤The RS880 chipset uses the SB710 South Bridge chip. Nanqiao chip is responsible for managing USB interface, sound card chip, SATA interface, PCI slot, BIOS chip.
⑥SB710 manages the IO chip through the LPC bus.
⑦IO chips to manage the floppy drive, keyboard, mouse and other input and output interfaces, while integrating monitoring functions to monitor the motherboard temperature and voltage.
