The AMD RX980 chipset architecture motherboard is shown in figure 1.

The management and support functions of the AMD RX980 chipset motherboard are as follows.

 

①RX980 uses AMD AM3+ FX8000, FX6000, FX4000 CPU, to support DDR3 memory, using dual channels, memory frequency to support regular 800MHz, 1066MHz, 1333MHz, 1600 MHz, maximum support 2133 MHz.

 

②Use RX980's North Bridge chip, RX Series chipset uses stand-alone graphics cards, North Bridge chip supports PCI-E X1 and PCL-EX16 slots, and supports 100MHz Nic chips.

 

③South Bridge chip supports 1 IDE hard disk interface, 6 SATA serial CD-ROMs, hard disk interfaces, 3 PCL-E slots, 12 USB interfaces, while managing sound card chips, 10 chips, 8MB SPI BIOS.

 

④1O chips manage input / output interfaces such as keyboard, mouse, floppy drive, fan, etc.
