What is the Digital / analog multimeter?

There are two common digital / analog multimeter:

1.Digital / analog hybrid multimeter.

This type of multimeter adds 7 / 2 digits to the analogue multimeter.

2.Digital / analog bar chart double display digital multimeter.

This kind of multimeter is used to observe the analog quantity of the measured continuous variation (such as the change of UC during capacitor charge and discharge). Typical products include DT96OT (7 / 2 digit / 41 bar), 2 BY1935 (15 / 4 digit / 31 segment), EDM83B (19 / 4 digit / 43 segment) and so on.

The simulated bar diagram has two meanings:

(1) It is measured as a continuous variation analog;

(2) The measured variation is simulated in the form of a bar chart. Bar diagram, also known as bar figure, can play the role of pointer. The simulated bar diagram is divided into the following three categories.

  Liquid crystal (LCD) bar diagram.

Liquid crystal (LCD) bar diagram is a intermittent bar, its high resolution, low power consumption, low voltage drive, suitable for battery-powered miniaturization instruments. The disadvantage is that it is not easy to observe at night.

Plasma (PDP) optical column display.

The advantages of plasma (PDP) optical column display are self-luminescence, high brightness, clear display and long observation distance, but the disadvantages are high driving voltage and large power consumption.

The LED column is arranged by several light-emitting diodes with high brightness and low cost, but the pixel size is large and the power consumption is high.
