The 108SVH010MGE aluminum electrolytic capacitor is one of them. This paper will explain the application field and working principle of the 108SVH010MGE aluminum electrolytic capacitor.Generally speaking, aluminum electrolytic capacitors consist of an anode made of an aluminum foil with an oxide film on its surface, a dielectric which is a non-solid electrolyte, and a cathode that’s made of a metal or another conductive material. They provide excellent capacitive performance, high stability, wide operating temperature range, and relatively large capacitance compared to other single-layer capacitors.The 108SVH010MGE aluminum electrolytic capacitor is an axial leaded construction type. It has 30mm in length and a 10Vdc rated voltage. It comes with 8mm of diameter and 8mm of lead spacing. This type of capacitor has an electrolyte of liquid or Dry Polymer. Its operating temperature range is between -45°C to 105°C, and a capacitance of 100uF. This type of aluminum electrolytic capacitor is not suitable for use in high temperature, high voltage and highly polarizable applications.The application of the 108SVH010MGE aluminum electrolytic capacitor is mainly used in switching power supplies, general purpose, audio equipment DC filtering and circuit snubbers. It can also be used in pulse and RFI noise suppression, DC ripple smoothing and transient protection applications as these caps have stable capacitance and moderate ESR.The working principle of the 108SVH010MGE aluminum electrolytic capacitor is based on the Faraday principle of electricity. When a potential difference is applied between the two electrodes, a current flows through the electrolyte and generates a field that produces a charge on both electrodes. This charge accumulates on the dielectric between the two electrodes until the potential difference between the electrodes is equal to the applied potential difference.
