The oxide film formed on the aluminum foil corresponds to the dielectric of the capacitor. The thicker the oxide film, the greater the capacitance, and the greater the ability to withstand voltage and current. The electric field generated between the two electrodes of the aluminum electrolytic capacitor enables electrons to be transferred through the oxide film, thus forming an electric current. Therefore, in addition to energy storage applications, aluminum electrolytic capacitors can also be used for signal processing, filtering and other purposes.
