The 10SVPS150M Aluminum-Polymer Capacitor is a three-terminal, surface-mounted component designed to deliver high-power density, low-resistance current delivery, and low number of mounting points. It has a leakage current of less than 0.1µA and offers an operating temperature range of -45°C to 105°C. The device also offers general temperature and full temperature compensation for a stable operation.
The 10SVPS150M is available in a wide range of standard and custom sizes and is suitable for use in a variety of applications including power supplies, lighting, industrial and consumer electronics, automotive, military, and aerospace applications. The device offers an extremely low equivalent series resistance of down to 0.6 mΩ. In addition, 10SVPS150M capacitors also feature high capacitance over a wide temperature range and high ripple current capability.
The working principle of the 10SVPS150M Aluminum-Polymer Capacitor is based on the dielectric principles. An aluminum electrolyte is sandwiched between two aluminum foil electrodes. When a voltage is applied across the capacitor, the current flow is generated by electrochemical processes between the electrolyte of the capacitor and the aluminum electrodes. The current flow will cause an accumulation of ionized molecules on the electrode surfaces.
