Tantalum Capacitors

Tantalum capacitors, commonly referred as Ta caps, are a type of electrolytic capacitor. The 150D825X0050R2BE3 is one such device. Instead, the current flows across the oxide layer by capacitive displacement.The oxide layer also functions as a dielectric, allowing capacitance to increase when the applied voltage increases. This effect is known as the voltage coefficient of capacitance and is the main advantage of tantalum capacitors—in most cases it is much higher than its aluminum electrolytic counterparts.Tantalum capacitors generally have lower maximum operating temperatures than aluminum electrolytic capacitors and can withstand higher ripple current values. This makes them well-suited for use in high frequency and high temperature applications such as automotive electronics, computer motherboards, and other consumer electronics. However, they are more expensive and have a lower maximum voltage rating than aluminum capacitors.The 150D825X0050R2BE3 is designed to be used in several different applications.
